Last year was a total blast. The turn out was great and we met several new teardroppers. It will held at Raccoon Holler once again.
I have already blocked out an area of the campground for us, this way we are all together. If you would like, you can go ahead and make your reservations through their website and make sure that you tell them you are with the TEARJERKERS. PLEASE post when you have done so. This way, if we need to block out more sites, we can do so.

May 19 – 21, 2006 Glendale Springs, NC

The Southern Appalachian Chapter of the TearJerkers Spring Fling will be held at Raccoon Holler in Glendale Springs, NC. www.raccoonholler.com The campground will reopen on April 15th 2006 for the season. So between now and then let me know if you are planning on attending so I can have X number of sites blocked out. When you call the campground to make your reservations make sure you tell them you are with the TearJerkers so we will all be together.
Raccoon Holler campground is right off the Blue Ridge Parkway, in beautiful Ashe County, NC. There is a lot to see. The Church of the Frescoes, hiking, canoeing, fishing in the New River and North Carolina's only cheese factory, Ashe County Cheese, are all close by.

Alan, They won't open for the 2006 season until April 15th. I don't know whether or not the prices have increased yet. More then likely, they will go up a little from last years prices...just like everything else.

Critter,,, dag nabbit, if I can pull off getting mine ready in 3 weeks to go to Florida (un-finished) you can get yours buttoned up and show up at Racoon Hoot and Hollar,, Its a good gathering and they have some of the finest roots to trip over I have seen anywhere, I dont know if its the altitude, the fresh air or the beverages,, but ya sort of forget where ya are up thar,,,

So get busy and make it happen

UPDATE TO THE RESERVATIONS FOR OUR SPRING FLING AT RACCOON HOLLER:
The Sites Are The Same Price As Last Year....$18.00 Per Night

For those of you who have already made your reservations at Raccoon Holler and been given a site #, you will have the option of picking your own site within the sites that I have had blocked out for us. In other words, fell free to find the best place for your "Root Trippin'" or not.

It will be easier if everyone else who is planning on attending will contact me, by email or posting, and let me know if you are going to be coming in a day early or staying an extra day. I will be in contact with Janet, the campground manger, several times before the May weekend and keeping her up-to-date.

All in all, this will be a better way to handle the reservations.

Ross
