Generic Benroy Hall of Fame...

Postby mikeschn » Thu May 29, 2008 6:06 pm

I'd like to put together a list of the folks who have build generic benroys, and pictures of them, kinda like a mini hall of fame in this thread.

If you built a generic benroy, could you add a message to this thread, and tell me where I can find your photos?

Thanks,

Mike...

P.S. And if you have already started building, but are not yet done, that's fine too. Please let me know in this thread... :D

Mike, I think I was the first to build the Generic Benroy.
I mean the first to start.

Yes you were Jim, I remember that.

You've made some nice progress on your exterior finish! That looks sweet!

Mike, I am building a Benroy based off of your plans, but I did increase the length and height a bit. Do you think it still counts? I should have a good photo of it completed in about a week or so when I pull it out of the garage (finally!). Let me know if you want to include it.

Absolutely... all variations on a theme count. Can you post a picture in your message to hold us over?

benroy

Postby rtp123 » Thu May 29, 2008 7:09 pm

Mike: I am in the process of building a benroy. The plans that I am using are your generic benroy plans, kufflecreek's comet plans and Steve Frederick's camping classic cd-rom, for reference. Other than the size, the majority of the build centers around your plans. 8) 8)

Mine's a Generic Benroy with a few slight modifications, but I'm not done with it yet.

Now, because I had no idea what I was doing, I when right by the Generic Plans. Cabinets & Galley layout. Except for the exterior. I wonder how many other folks when right by the plans? Anywho Mike, you have to be proud that so many people use your plans to build a TD. You have given me and many other folks a great gift.

Thank you. :) :lips:

I used the plans too. The shelf and electric race way are from the plans.

Even if the body became misshapen, I actually used the plans quite a bit, and am thankful they are there.

Thanks Mike.
