Stove to trailer distance

Postby Forrest747 » Wed Jul 10, 2013 10:06 am

I have a coleman stove that will not fit in the galley to cook in (how rude) and i built some side tables to set it on while cooking, but i am planning on making them shorter and just one of them instead of two. So how close can the coleman 2 burner stove be close to the trailer side. i was looking at a pop up across the way and they had a small set up for the stove about 6 inches from the tent. so just wondering.

I'd say it depends on how carefull you are with your cooking. Personally I'd keep it away from the trailer for safety and cleanliness. Our little Coleman has a splatter/heat shield/wind deflector thing that does a good job for most small stuff. Forget it if you are deep frying, that splatters everywhere. We are using a small folding table for our cooking station and set it a few feet away from the trailer. Cynthia doesn't want anything that smells like food around the trailer. We'd prefer not to have uninvited guest in the camp. :D
