Vintage 2 Story Teardrop.

Postby len19070 » Tue Jul 23, 2013 3:54 am

A friend had mentioned something to me the other day and it re-reminded me of this trailer.

It is a 60's 2 story Scad-A-Bout. Only about 3 were made and a gentleman from CA. owns 2 of them.

Very Cool.

That's Bob Ross's and until a couple of months ago he owned three out of three that were complete and one that was found unfinished (He's still trying to get his hands on that one, it's in Long Beach). He sold one (complete with tent). Bob still has the one that was all original and one that yet needed to be restored.

This is the one he still has that is original

Do you know what Years these were Gage?

I know its Pre 67 because in 67, and maybe 66 Scad-A-Bout changed the doors.

Is the second story a bed or for headroom?

Shady

The one you saw was at Shasta, not Towerfest. That was the new owner and I'll be darn if I can think of his name (his brothers name is Steve  ). He was just a couple of sites from me.

I too saw the 1967 Scad-About at The 20th Dam Gathering in Shasta and got only one picture ofit.
I thought it was the coolest teardrop there.
I have been showing the picture ever since I got home, but had no idea it was sooo rare???
Loved it.
Thanks for the history Gage.
