Thats on my bucket list. Unfortunately, its on the other side of the U.S., so it isn't going to happen this year. Dare I say that its higher up on the list of my 5-year plan than getting married? :o

Hi,
Glenn and I (Shelly) are going to burning man for the first time this year (2013). We have tickets and we'll be in a camp called "Plays Well With Others" located at 4:30 and Extraterrestrial. I would like to find where the camp "Trailer Trash" will be since they'll have several teardrops.

We'll be the lone teardrop in our camp....amongst a sea of RV's and large trailers.

We would like to meet other Teardroppers who are going so we can get suggestions on how to best prepare for the event in a teardrop.

My ticket should be here any day now. But I am pretty sure I will not go. If I go will miss about 2 weeks of work and I just can't afford it. And if I went I would probably spend the whole time there bending anybodies ear that will listen as to why I can't afford it. If anyone needs a ticket how does $400 sound to any USA address?

HickoryNut. TupaloSue seems to be the main Trailer Trash instigator get a hold of her and see if Trailer Trash will ride again. The Playa can be very hot, will be very windy and the only shade is what you bring. The event is huge and spread out a lot. A bicycle is almost mandatory and no skinny tires. Bring a cruiser or something as there are dust mounds and many many many many mud cracks. Have something that makes light on it so you can see and be seen at night. I took 15 gallons of water and had plenty left over. But then we did not shower either. :R
You will not need as much food as you think. There will be dust storms/white outs. If it rains don't expect to move for a while. It will be crazy noisy with electronic music. It is the worlds convention for annoying music. IMHO. Don't bring stuff that can blow around to easily. We hate moop.
Heck just read Virgin guide
If this fat 61 year old survived most anybody can. Wish I could be there but I need to start acting like I am poor.

As "Trailer Trash" is not an official sited camp go to the Info center at center camp and search on the computers there for it. After they get settled down they go there and enter the address for them. Might take a day or so for that to happen.

Oops. It is Tupelosue that puts the Trailer Trash camp together. And I have offered to sell my ticket. Will update if sale does not happen.

Hi Randy,
thanks for the information! I did find Sue and she responded to me, so I'll be getting back in touch with her to ask how they take care of their grey water. Fortunately, we are part of a larger group that has been going for several years and they have given us lots of advice on preparing for the week. Everything you have mentioned matches everyone else's advice.
Thanks! Shelly

We saved our in a couple of those plastic 5 gallon buckets and put the lids one when full. I then toted them home to Idaho and dumped them on my lawn. I live out in the country and it does a lawn good.
