Where is everybody?

I had glaucoma eye surgery the end of June...the good old fashioned kind (using modern techniques) where they use a knife and stick a metal shunt in your eyeball permanently...the pressure dropped from 56 to 14 the next day. It's been a horrible wait to get camping again, but I'm on the mend and the Dr. said I can go camping mid August. So it will be off to Acadia National Park in Maine with the wife and dog for the last two weeks of August, then weekend camping until New England gets too cold to camp any further.

I know what you mean...we see a lot of teardrops in here, but when I pull into a campground I am the lone wooden camper in a sea of white aluminum boxes...it does draw a lot of attention that way though. I love giving "tours" to show off my handiwork.

Guess we will be camping alone Saturday night east of Portland and Sunday out along the Columbia in Maryhill Wa.

We met a Newbie to teardropping that was parked in the overflow parking lot with us last night at Hood River.
He had a real nice 3 Feathers built "Pinecone"
Signed him up to the TnTTT & the Tear Jerkers.
His name is Greg and he is very keen.

Brian and Sandy, congratulations for a wonderful, trouble-free trip. Making he effort to contact fellow teardroppers, really paid off for you. This should be an incentive for others to do the same. Thanks again for stopping by So Calif, and if all goes well, I plan to spend a couple of months at your farm, up there north of the border. Well......maybe a couple of days anyway. Brian, could there be a "Mr Piggy" on the drawing board? There surely must be a lot of car parts still available laying around in your shop. Oh my gosh, dream, plan, and revise, cut, measure, weld, grind, fill, sand, paint.........oh where will it end? Keep up the good work, we love it.
