Hello from Ontario

Postby Yukondave » Tue Sep 15, 2015 11:20 am

Hello everyone. Signed up a month or so ago and have been browsing and reading lots. I've finally convinced the better half that building a TD would be a good idea. I think I have the basic design down, in my head at least. I downloaded an AutoCAD full size profile for a Benroy but when I took it to a print shop they couldn't read the file. I hope to start as soon as I can get a base trailer, build at least the shell and hopefully get it out for a test camp before the snow flies.

Dave!

Hello Dave, I am in Kingston, Ontario and will be trying to collect as many of the parts needed to build a TD this winter. I am going with the 2+2 so that my wife and I can travel with our children. Please let me know if you source a trailer frame from a used trailer or if you buy something local for your trailer.
Thanks

I spent 6 months trying to source a used donor trailer but eventually gave up and bought new. Steve at http://www.theteardroptrailer.com/ hooked me up with a 5'x8' base trailer and a few parts for the build, I ordered it on Tuesday and picked it up on Saturday.
