Good to hear you've got the water pump and drainage questions under control.
I vote for the blue barrel. You'll be surprised at how thick the walls are on them.

I've actually got three of those barrels in the back yard right now. I make trough type deer feeders out of them. I bought a six of them last year, six bucks a piece. Hank is right, them things are made from some thick plastic. They ought to be easy to find in Florida. I also turn them into gravity rain water collection barrels.

Yes. BLUE it is. I will cut it just like the metal tub in height as its neat that it slips under the bed. I should be wrapped up by Saturday afternoon. I really want to just use 15 feet of propane hose for the tank less instead of copper pipe because of cost and hassle. I can disconnect and store hose in house when not in season. Same for stove top but will utilize that flexible metal stove hose for the first 48 inches and then 5 feet of regular hose and regulator out to the tank. I will also disconnect and store the rubber potion of this as well off season to protect from heat and elements. The trailer has excellent ventilation and I will always leave the door window open some or all in times of use. Same for Maxx fan vent. Turn off gas at night at the tank. Not sure about the little buddy heater. Stay small tank or use that long hose specially made for it which I do have as that was the plan.

I'm worried I would fall asleep with it running and have read some very bad stories. But if I left it hooked up with just the little bottle maybe there's less or no chance of leaking? I have plenty of time before Ill need that heater though.

I plan to use quick connects on stubs from black pipe under the trailer. I want to stub to enter a outdoor shower type box that can be accessed inside and outside of the trailer double doored. The quick connects rotate 360 so if I want to use a lantern or stove outside I open the door and spin the connector out. If I want to use a heater inside open the inside door and spin the connector in. Black pipe to me seems the most secure and durable way to get from front to back with propane. I may be being overly cautious but the last thing I want is to get to a fishing hole 7 miles down a mountain and find out I pulled a rubber hose off,

Oh yea remember the make a timer unit for propane if your worried about leaving it on. They are expensive 80.00 but if you buy a cooker for Turkey or Crawfish you get the burner, pot, lid, regulator and hose for about 60.00. I hate the timers on my cookers and take them off so as a safety feature in the trailer is may be a good idea.

What are you hooking up to your quick disconnects? I'm confused. Please. No rush but could I see a picture? How to you attach the propane tank to the black pipe and what is connecting to your quick disconnect at the end of the black pipe? A small section of the normal plastic flex hose? What about the regulators as I have three gas units. Sorry to pester you.

A lot of RVers encounter a problem when they go to use their RV's propane for camp stoves
and other propane appliances. Double regulators. Generally, the propane is regulated at the
propane tank on the RV, then an extension hose or pipe is used to couple an 'extra' appliance
into the system and most have their own regulator. The end result is poor performance from
the added on appliance. Here's a google search result to get ya started on your search for your

Sorry for the confusion. I use the black pipe as a home run under the trailer. Then I branch off of the black pipe to where the appliances will be. On the end of that branch a quick connect coupler is stubbed out. Using the quick connects let you attach any appliance anywhere. For instance my buddy heater can be at the front of the trailer or it can be at the rear of the trailer in the garage area. I also had connectors on the outside of the trailer that I could connect my cook stove or lantern or pretty much any propane appliance to.

Hank is spot on and I had to remove the regulators from my O Grill when I added the quick connect.

If you are keeping everything inside the trailer black pipe may be overkill. I don't personally care for propane lines to be inside the trailer if they are not well hidden away. I can just imagine myself running a screw through a flex line or having a mouse decide one is tasty (not that I have ever heard of it happening). I had a soft copper line run under one of our trailers back in the day that got ripped off when the trailer got one tire in a rut and drug on the frame. Needless to say there was no fixing it in the middle of the nowhere. Since then if its outside the trailer I have used black pipe it is very tough stuff and simple to install. If the trailer is on the road all the time or in campgrounds that may not be a concern. We tend to end up in placed we should probably never have gone to.

I will post the plans for the new trailer as soon as I get them back. Still trying to decide between Aluminum or steel and getting quotes.

Ok. Hot water heater is plumbed in. What an awesome set up. I can hold my hand over the top of the heater indefinitely when running hot water.
For better or worse, I'm using separate hoses for each appliance. They are new, and for the most part entirely in the trailer. Protected from the elements and very easy to check fittings with wrench prior to use. Even the internal stove fitting. I will turn off all gas prior to hitting the rack. I may leave the little buddy tank valve on so I can turn the unit on in the middle of the night briefly.
There will be two detectors. One under the counter and one in the cabin somewhere. This is my call after weighing it all out. Usage, practicality, material, and money.

Dang if that doesn't look outstanding. . Have to ask, did you use the YELLOW Teflon tape
for the propane fittings? The white doesn't play well with the gas, is why I ask.

yes sir! yellow for sure. I did notice how much thicker and tougher that stuff was.
Finally getting to the end. Here are a few more pics.

The full size wheel chocks are awesome and will be kept in the back of the truck or in it. The ATV is rock solid. The KTM will go in the back of the truck. Still plenty of inside storage for table and chairs, two coolers and a that grill less the propane tank. Another 10 foot hose and I'm good to move that grill anywhere close. ( see previous camping picture ).
