Steal away. I ripped off a few ideas myself. The beauty of this website is to spawn good ideas. Bryan

My Mother in law surprised me by making this quilted wall hanging of my teardrop. I am very grateful and admire the attention to detail. Thanks Mom!

Thanks for asking AZGREG. Time ran out for me this season, but I am already looking forward to next spring. We have a skiff of snow on the ground and have already hit zero degrees this October. Bryan

Hi Bryan,
I am having a catch up after a few months away from the forum and see that you have everything pretty much finished.
You have made a really nice job of the "Alaskan Benroy" and you deserve to be extremely proud of yourself. :applause:
As mentioned before, I also can't wait to see :pictures: of it hitched up behind the coupe.
Enjoy camping in it.

Nice job! You have something to be proud of.

I started my build mid August and got it camp ready this week. We are going on our first camp with it this weekend.

I was stationed in Alaska in 1976-1977. I was air rescue and spent time at Fairbanks tdy every couple of months. I always thought I would love to come back for vacation. In July my wife informed me she wanted to go to Alaska on a trip when she retires. I said great idea, we'll take the jeep! She said and we can tent camp. Only she said not where there are bears. Lol After I told her they were everywhere, I started thinking about building a tiny camper I could pull with the jeep. That is how it all started. Now if she would just go ahead and retire. She said December of next year so it looks like Alaska is out for another year and a half. Maybe June of 2018.

Wow, you got with the program on your build. Nicely done!

I got to Fairbanks Alaska in 1981. It has really changed in modern conveniences since I first arrived. It is much easier to live here now. But, it is still as rugged, wild, and free as when you were here in the 70's. Hope you make it back. Bryan

Had the tongue rack professionally sprayed with bedliner, then installed it this evening. Also, I found some plans for folding beach chairs and built a couple. Thought these would be nice to have on a campout. Bryan

Thanks Bryan! My wife says I am like a bull on a mission when I start something and she is pretty much right LOL. I am looking forward to "The Trip" to Alaska too. As of right now it is still 1 1/2 years away.
