We have been avid outdoors people all our lives. In 2016 we bought a small sailboat, a MacGregor 26X, removed the mast and rigging and used the boat as a small trawler. We spent over 8 months on the boat cruising the Great American Loop. We still have the boat. We have bought a 18' cargo trailer and intend to make a camper out of it. Our plan is to swap from the boat , 4 trojan 105 batteries(420 amphours), Sterling power 10 amp smart charger, Engel 34 qrt 12/120 volt fridge/freezer(2 amps per hr), Natures head toilet, dickinson 2 burner propane stove top, 1000 watt honda generator, 5000 btu ac, and a 2000 watt pure sinewave invertor. All these items will save a lot of money on the build. We will wire the trailer as a 12 volt system, with some 120 volt outlets when camping with shorepower. Have already read a lot of the posts on this site and picked up a lot of ideas so want to say thanks already for the ideas. We could not stand up much in our sailboat so this trailer will be very nice. The trailer is 8.5 wide and our boat was only 7' wide. We will post our build under the cargo trailer conversion thread.
