I'm getting ready to build me a teardrop out of foam and skin it with PMF. I have found videos about pmf on plywood and it looks like a pretty solid surface. I have also found videos on using fiberglass on foam. But I cannot seem to find any videos the tell me what kind of surface I should expect using PMF on foam.
I did an experiment applying PMF on a small piece of foam. I believe I did it correctly as when the glue dried the canvas was hard enough to sand smooth. I haven't used any paint on it yet because I want to make sure I haven't done something wrong. My question is. How solid should the surface be on the foam after the glue dries?
Can someone please enlighten me on this?
