Good news. I like my Aleko alot and it was a very good price. So far, it still looks good from a fit/finish perspective. I found the installation/assembly instructions to be very poor at the time 2 years ago or so when I installed. If you have any troubles, let me know I may be able to comment. It has been over two years and since I never seem to write things down, I may not remember.
You will probably figure it out anyhow. It is not hard, just work. At the time I seem to remember pulling up instructions for a Dometic awning which go up the same way and between the two, I was clear . Thier instructions made more sense to me.
Just make sure to pay attention to the spring preload procedure for your specific awning. The preload turns or etc. may be different and you do not want to get that wrong. Careful doing the preload also.. almost hurt my hand bad when I slipped and the spring unwound during the process.
