Been a member for years, but haven't posted in a loooong time. My build got put on hold when I lost my workspace and packed everything up and put it in storage around 2006. I started working for an airline not long after that, so instead of camping, we started flying on our vacations. With the current pandemic my hours have been cut and flying is out, so I decided to revive my teardrop project. My son has been messing with teardrops for several years and has challenged me to finish mine so we can do some camping together.
My build is approximatly 5' x 9'. I made my own trailer frame using a torsion axle. The walls are sandwich type framed with 1" dimensional lumber, luan plywood on the outside, and Baltic Birch inside. I have the sides pretty much finished, some of the interior pieces roughed out, and the rear countertop made. Unfortunatly all of my pics of the build so far appear to be lost. I'll try to get some new ones posted soon.
Yesterday I dug out most of the pieces and mocked them up on the frame so I could get an idea where I was with the build. I found most of the hardware that I bought for it, although there are a few things I am still looking for. Trying to figure out what I originally had planned for it, and am already making changes.
Glad to see that the forum is still going storong, and hope to get some ideas from it, and contribute any knowlege that I am able.
