High horsepower and big low end torque, there's nothing better..

I think you really nailed it right there, and specifically what we've lost from those cars and that era.

not only high horsepower, but available down at the bottom end were you can use it. Its awesome for modern vehicles to have awesome HP figures that appear to embarass late 1960's/early 1970's muscle cars. Its another thing for that power to only show up at 5500 - 6000 RPM, and only be available when you're ringing the vehicle out.

You definitely need to post a photo of that rig hitched up when you get to that point.

It’s only fair to mention that modern EVs are exactly like the old V8s in that way.
EVS give you full max torque at low speed even more so than a vintage big block V8

What? Not the 'new' 7.3L gasser? From the reviews so far, it also looks to be quit a 'moose' of a motor = lots of torque also.........................but yes, that 6.2L is a good one too!!!!! enjoy................

I would like to have that motor... but my life experience tells me to never buy a newly designed motor the first few years they are in production.. Not to mention... I could not find one in the trim package I wanted... :)

After a month on backorder, the hitch arrived. The blower should help keep things cool. At least that's what I tell the wife.ImageImage

Just kidding about keeping things cool. Compressing the air heats it up. An intercooler cools it back down. Still hotter then ambient.

I just recently bought this; a 2005 Jeep Liberty. It has a hitched attached. I am checking out how much it can tow. 8)

Nice. I have a 2008 Liberty, 3.7L V6. I don’t know the tow specs for the CRD but expect them to be similar to the gasser. 2000 lb stock tow rating, 5000 lbs with the tow package, which is just a transmission cooler and an auxiliary mechanical fan to aid the stock e-fan.
