As we turned the corner and headed back north. I used the Mid Atlantic Backroad Discovery Route (MABDR) as our guide north. The most of this anyone can do. Most!

Over the next couple weeks I'll post up sections as we traveled north along the MABDR. What a great way to see the rural areas!

As we traveled northward. I learned only portions of the MABDR are beyond what most can travel. There are those rural roads that make you wonder... if you're trailering.
Just watch your roads!

Baw haw haw. Thanks John I needed a good belly laugh. I had to put every spooky thought our of my mind on that stretch of "road". I felt like I was about to enter the underworld, trailer and all.
The Clam shelter I have is a https://amzn.to/3kwpSDU Its out of stock right now.
I received it and modified it to accommodate the trailer by an Amish shop in Pennsylvania. With shipping etc it cost me $700 for the mods (price and value have no relationship).
Clams have noseeum netting and can be hot in the summer so I had 3 huge windows and 2 side doors added since they were removing the front door.
They had to remove the poles and maybe the hubs to do the work. BUT i really like it. There are gaps around the doors but its huge improvement in most cases especially rain.
The walls velcro on and pull away in rain. I am considering adding snaps to hold them somewhat better. Clam shelters can not support weight and may implode in wind - you just push them up again in the center.
Having said all that I am very happy using the thing now that I forgot about the cost. I have a few videos on this
