Hello... and Happy Holiday to all!!
I need a little help with some specs and advice on a front jack. I first installed a jack with a flat plate bottom and after some time of living with it during my build decided I'd rather have a jack with a wheel. I just received a Curt jack # 28115 which has an 8" wheel, stands 27" tall and has a load capacity of 1500#s tongue weight. The load capacity is probably way overkill but I liked the 8" wheel. I think it looks kind of huge when temporarily attached to the trailer (images attached). So I've been looking at 2 other Curt jacks (Model #28112 with 6 inch wheel, 1200#load capacity and stands 23 inches tall and the Model# 28101 also with a six inch wheel, a load capacity of 1,000#s and 23 inches tall.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. One question will there be much of a difference moving the trailer around with a 6 inch vs an 8 inch wheel. I'd like to go with a smaller jack, but I'm looking for other's thoughts on that. Again, images attached of the jack with the 8 inch wheel attached.
Thanks very much for the help.
John
