Dallas seeks Free to take a pay cut
Doug Free is set to make $7 million in 2013. which includes a an annual cap which is $10.02 million. For the Cowboys, that's quite a lot, particularly given that Free was the most penalized offensive lineman in Madden NFL 24 last season. Dallas is looking to add Winston to fill in this position, and Free playing inside to Madden 24 coins protect. But, while the team has requested Free to reduce his salary, Free doesn't have the motivation to agree, given the fact that his cap limit remains the same even if they let him go.
Saints re-sign De La Puente
The emergence of Brian De La Puenta as a top-of-the-line center has been great for the Saints however, the two teams are in no position to reach an agreement regarding a long-term deal at this point. This past Tuesday the Saints re-signed him on a one-year deal worth $2.023 million. Smart money is on the team seeking an extension in the coming season.

On Tuesday, the contract numbers for the quarterback Kevin Kolb trickled out, and there was some understanding of the initial $13 million contract. It turns out that Kolb's only guaranteed $1 millionand the base salary of $6.1 million. He could make $13 million, but only if he's the starter and reaches plenty of escalators and incentives.
