My trailer is finished!

I couldn't agree more. We are extremely happy with ours too. What I don't understand is why is Chris C the only "Teardrop Artist"? There are many of so called "Teardrop Artists" here just look at the "Hall of Fame".
 Danny

Danny,
I'm the one that changed Chris C's title to Teardrop Artist, I made the change after viewing his slide show this morning because I wanted it to reflect the impression his trailer made on me. I see no reason for this to be taken as a slight against any other of the fine teardrop builders on this forum and I assure you that was not my intention when I posted the title. Chris didn't request the change and he most likely knows nothing about it being changed. I couldn't agree with you more that there are numerous "Teardrop Artists" on this forum, yourself included. If you want that title as well or something similar, it can be arranged. Just let one of us Admins know, we'll be glad to accomodate you.

Kevin, No I don't want "Teardrop Artist" for my avatar title as I feel it would be unfair to all the wonderful builders on this forum. I have mastered my craft/profession and my work speaks for itself. I could critique Chris C's trailer but that would do no one good, he did a fine job to the best of his abilities like we all do. I do have a request though to change my avatar title to "Happy Camper" because that is what this forum has produced out of me. Please add a asterisk for donating member. Thanks, :D Danny

What an inspiration!

Postby cuyeda » Sun Nov 05, 2006 11:23 am

Chris C.

Thanks for the inspiration. I am planning a build someday, and also have Steve Fredericks build manual. Nice to see some of the concepts used, as well as all of your personal ideas to dress up your TD. I especially like the old trunk in the front. I have been eyeing an old steel trunk with a similar shape in my dad's backyard, and hope he will donate it to my cause. ha ha.

It would be great help to us newbies, as well as the experienced, if you would add notes to some of the pictures in your album. (if you get a chance, please, please). I need to finish a couple of projects before I start my build to get the garage cleared, ie. 65 2+2 Mustang.

So no immediate hurry in getting your notes added, but will bookmark your album for future reference. Please and thank you.

One of the nice things about forums such as these is that you can freely share information and experience, and learn from each other. I started buliding my tear with absolutely no knowledge other than a plan in my head and a link to this page. I never could have completed my tear without a lot of quick responses from a lot of different people, and I'm forever grateful to all of you for that. That being said, I don't understand the type of person who LOOKS to be offended! So many times people have to walk on egg shells around each other here, and be so dang politically correct, a lot of the fun is taken out. Let it be known that I want an honest response to my questions and my posts. If I'm doing something wrong in my build - please tell me, I would rather have my feelings hurt and be embarrased than do something to potentially hurt my build, or my family by building an unsafe tear. Who cares if someone else thinks your trailer is "art" or "beautiful" or "prectical" or a "box on wheels". I built this for me! Compared to the trailer I didn't have before my build, mine is freakin' awesome! Compared to Gage's, or Chris' or about 142 other trailers listed here, mine is a box on wheels!

IMHO!

I'll get off my soap box now!

Wow Chris, I'd thought you only talked about building a teardrop camper. Was I ever wrong. Very nice job and thanks for coming back to show it.

Absolutely beautiful work. Whenever I see a job like this I can only wish I had a fraction of the skill it takes to make something so nice. Definately a TD to be proud of.

Nice Job Chris

Dear Chris,

Really nice work. Your choice of woods was fantastic. What is the Green veined inserts and counter top? Looked like granite but cannot tell because the puter monitor is not well calibreated.
Regards,

Guy
