Said And Others Robbed...

Postby Dean in Eureka, CA » Sat Jul 07, 2007 1:16 pm

Boris "Who Said?... Boris Said" Said was robbed by Mother Nature and the NASCAR rule book.
For the first time in 97 races, qualifying was rained out at Daytona after 39 cars had made a quafifying attempt.
Prior to the rain, Said had the pole position, but now won't even make the race as NASCAR set the field by current point standings.
A big disapointment for "Said-Heads"...
Tonight's race will be the last Pepsi 400 at Daytona as Coke is ready to sign an exclusive deal with the track.
Waltrip was also robbed as he was 4th quick and will now miss the event because of the rule book.

That was really pi$$ poor. It really isn't fair when the fastest qualifiers don't get to race. My opinion is qualifying should have been continued today.
I am still a firm believer in going back to qualifying for everybody. You don't qualify you don't race, simple as that.
It's really BS that 35 cars are guaranteed a spot and the rest have to try to get in. It's a shame that the big boys don't have to work as hard to get in the race as the rest of the guys.
I know I'm rambling, it just pi$$e$ me off the way NASCAR is running this now. :x :x :x :x

I don't care who the sponsor is, it's still the Firecracker 400 to me. That's what I grew up with so that's what it will be.

We racing sprint cars next year????

Didn't get to see it I was at the race track pitting for a friends sprint car, we won by the way!!

I heard the end was pretty good, the wife was watching it inside the concession stand while we were getting pictures taken in the winners circle.
It's Blaney's race track, that's why the race was on!! lol
And once again he went from 7th to 28th. He can go backwards faster'n anybody else I know!! lol

I'll have to see if I can catch the replay.
