Started My Frame & A Wheel Question

Postby GeneH » Mon Nov 19, 2007 7:53 pm

Earlier this week I bought the 2" Angle Steel and Stainless Steel hardware for my frame. Saturday I started cutting steel and drilling for the bolts and ordered the Rust Bullet to cover it.

Today I received an email from National Tool for $50 off a $200 in store purchase for Tuesday and Wednesday. I am thinking about using it to buy a pair of either the 13" or 14" wheels and tires for my frame.

I would appreciate hearing from those with positive or other experience with their Load Star trailer wheel/tire sets before I put my money on the counter.

Thanks ... Gene

Gene, this isn't about wheels. Just finished painting my frame with Rust Bullet. It looks really good...a little glossy. I brushed it on the hard to reach areas then rolled out the rest to go faster and get a smoother finish. My 5x10 frame with 4 inside cross pieces used almost one quart of RB. The next day I used most of one pint of their black for a 3rd coat to "color" it. It dried out and hardened within a day. It seems very scratch resistant. The instructions say if you put it on too thick it can bubble up as it drys...which happened in a few harder to reach areas I couldn't roll out.
