How to build a built in cot system?

Sorry to Hijack the thread but... Henk where you been? Nice to see you here again. :)

Now back to the thread... I like the way the bunk stows away. It can be used for storage right? I like that idea.

Where did you get the different parts?

Wood closet rods: Lowes
Chrome closet rod brackets: Lowes
1/4x20 hex bolts: Lowes
1/4x20 knobs w/ through hole: Woodworking supply place
T-track: Woodworking supply place

Most woodworking supply places carry t-track and knobs. Places like Rockler and their ilk. I happened to get mine here:

I'm not sure how much they hold, but they hold my 30 pound daughter just fine. I'm no engineer, but I think it mostly has to do with how you mount the tracks to your trailer. That seems like the only potential weak link.
