Sidewalls Question

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

Side wall questions.

I've noticed that all the diagrams have the floor mounted right on the steel trailer frame. If I do this how do I attach the sides to the floor. I saw some diagrams on other builds that showed people using a floor made with 2x2 wood frames under the floor and on top of the trailer frame. The floor completely built separately with floor on top of wooden frame then attached to the metal trailer frame. Also can I over hang the wood over the sides of the metal frame a couple inches to maintain my interior width of 60 inches. I'm planning on 1 1/2 inch walls so I'll need 3 more inches width.

Also forgot to mention I'll need to cut the floor in around the wheels.

You should not have any problems with your tires being to close to your walls if you use the the stock tires.

But if you go to a bigger tire you may.
If you go to this page on my black TD build I will explain it a lot better & may give you a few things to think about that may save you a few $$.

If anyone has any questions let me know.
