I just love the way you did you wood striping.
Your tear is going to be absolutely incredible when done - a work of art! :applause: :applause: :applause:
I'm just sorry :( it costs too much to drive down from Alaska, as I would just love to see it in person at the IRG.2.

We lost Wilson, our springer/lab mix, last year...Danny is the replacement pound dog we picked up in about November. We think he was about 7 months old then. He's a rounder for sure, and pretty strong headed like any one year old bird dog...but... if I am working on that trailer, he will stay right with me and will not leave my side. It's almost like he knows this thing is for camping and he's not going to miss a single trip!!!! Danny will never replace Wilson, but we have really enjoyed having him despite his obnoxious spaniel traits...the good thing is that both Marica and my oldest daughter are trainers at the humane society and are doing wonders with him!!!

BTW...my daughter also has a boxer that is about the best trained dog I have ever seen, bar none. The boxer is going into a photo shoot for designer dog accesseries this month!!! What a show off!!!

Jeremy..I'll PM you..but shucks I'm tenting it!!!

Kevin...Thanks for the photoshop work...part of me says purple fenders, part of me says yellow, part of me says red...yellow it is!!!!

Martha, S, and Marc...Thank you...There is a lot of inspiration on this board...I sure appreciate Mike and Chell for hosting the BBS!!!

Winter? What winter? The last couple of years winters have been so mild I've only got maybe 4 hours total on my xcountry skis! The pheasant population, not to mention the turkeys and whitetail deer, have gone nuts! Summers are really nice in Nordacoda, but it sure is taking its time this year!

Hope to see your teardrop sometime! :)

Dave, when you go to pick your color for the fenders, they will have a book of tons of swatches in it that you can pick from. Don't bother with any of the manufacturers color cards, lots of time wasted and not much to pick from if you want a specific shade of a yellow. Doug

Gosh Doug...I'm really looking forward to learning how to spray. I have a quart of two part Interlux "Fighting Lady Yellow" that I got to paint the last boat...I was looking for something to match the yellow ceder. Uuuggg...the problem was that I couldn't get the primer locally and no one would ship it to Alaska (can you believe that?). Anyway...I think it will work with that Dupont primer and will run a test first for compatibility!!! Can you recommend a spot filler for those fenders to fill some small chips? They have gotten beat up a bit over the last couple years...

If it's just small spots, scuff the gel coat, you are going to have to anyway to spray, spray the primer, then hit the small dings with spot putty and a thin flexible spatula, a credit card one from the body shop works nice, or use an old credit card. It's basically really thick primer. I know we have had this discussion on the forum before, however, bondo goes over roughed up glass or bare metal, spot putty goes over primer. Reprime the spots you take care of. Putty will also fill better and have less pinholes than bondo. Others opinions may vary. PS...if your paint has been subjected to freeze/thaw cycles you will probably want to play with it first to see if it is still OK. Doug

Dave, here's your trailer with Fighting Lady Yellow on the fenders (found the color chip online)

Just for kicks, here's one of each, red & purple. You'll have to excuse the roughness around the edges. They're about as rough as my photoshop skills.
