Mounting shorepower inlet

I bought one of those 30A Hubbell inlets from ebay. It's the white one with the silver foil front. I really don't want an inlet box protruding from the side of the Tear, and the thought of mounting on the front box with the battery doesn't appeal to me because of sparks....anyone got pics of alternative mounts that would either hide the inlet under the frame or inset the inlet so I doesn't stick out? I sure don't mind cutting holes...it's really related to trying to keep the side of the Tear smooth and everything flush!!!

You could french in the license like me and hide it. Seriously how about mounted some where on the tongue in a electrical box.

Do you know how thick this part is? I would think it is designed to fit in a box. Do you have a link to where you purchased it, I need one for my canned ham.

If this is the rectangle inlet and not a round marine inlet it is designed to go in a blue box. You can put it anywhere you want even under the floor.


I put mine through the outside the way it is supposed to go and regret it. Not very nice looking. Try thinking a wood cover over the wiring or the blue box and see what you come up with.

I had the same concern when mounting mine. I went underneath...real close to the side so not too hard to reach.





This is way back in the back of a lower cabinet directly above the shore power inlet.

Considering where most campgrounds locate their power outlets, I would think that prohandyman's location would be ideal, if you don't want it on the side wall. That's the corner of the TD that will be closest to the campground power box in most circumstances.

It's going to get dirty and wet down there. You might need to wash it from time to time, but it should do the job.
