Postby oklahomajewel » Tue Jul 29, 2008 10:32 pm

Okay... I have downloaded some songs to put on a cd, but they are in MP3 format....

I'm not a techie ... I know how to burn to the cd , but if in MP3 format, it won't play on a regular CD player right?

Help!

Depends on the cd player, do you have a "burn to disc " program?

Julie, your burner program should basically give you the option to burn as mpg files or cda/wav files and do the conversion automatically...

If you get a MP3 player or a CD radio/player that plays MP3's you can burn up to 318 songs per disk. I have JVC MP3 disk changers in two vehicles and with 12 CD slots the songs never stop.
You can convert all your CD albums to MP3 format with the proper software. :D Danny

Most burning software, like Nero, will give you the option of burning a 'Music' CD and convert the MP3's on the fly.

But like others have said if you can leave them in MP3 format it's worthwhile. My car headunit supports MP3's and is a 6 stacker so in theory I could have 42 CD's worth of music in there. My TD headunit supports MP3's and DVD format so it will take about 47 CD's worth of music in MP3 format on one disc :) MP3 is the way to go if you can.

Cheers

If you are using Windows Media Player, Right click the "Burn" tab and select "Audio CD".

Julie,

If you do not know for sure that you car player will play MP3 format in the CD player, then burn one with MP3s and try it. If it does not work then you can convert them to standard audio CD format.

Like was already stated, you can get a whole lot more MP3s on a CD than you can standard audio.

It's not legal, but a lot of folks do it. I buy my songs at iTunes. I figure 99 cents for a good song is a pretty fair price. If the song isn't worth 99 cents to me, why would I even want it?

Then again, I'm one of those stupid people who BUYS software for my computer. How crazy is that?

Heikki, this site http://mymusicmaker.com/ has a library of many of the songs you want. They will make you a CD or CD's of you song choices. I've ordered a couple CD's from them and I'm very satisfied. :D Danny
