I really hate to see it go, but it should go camping and not sit at my home. I know another day I will design and build again.........

Ed I am so sorry to hear your family has had medical problems. I can relate to those medical bills. Watched you build this and I think you are selling way low. Just my opinion. It is a well thought wonderful family camper. If I had the money I would come get it right now. 8)

Stay in touch

Ahhhh Miriam, the voice of reason. Thank you for your reply. My wife also thinks that I am trying to sell the camper too cheaply. She loves the design and watched it being built so you and she agree. A few folks are already interested so I will have to come up with a fair price.

I really do appreciate the feedback from all of you!!!

Teardrop Camper. Sleeps 2 adults and 2 children (under 5 feet tall). Custom designed and built in 2006. One of a kind. Perfect for a family with 1 or 2 small children. Due to family medical issues we have to part with our camper after being used only a few nights. Towed about 225 miles total. Camper weighs approximately 750 pounds. This camper was designed to imitate the look of an old-style lake cabin with a 60’s camper pattern on the outside. Epoxy encapsulated wood exterior. It has a couple of easily repaired dings here and there from storage. A great upgrade from sleeping in a tent and no canvas between you and the weather!

FEATURES: • Small size and low weight allows towing by almost any vehicle with minimal wind resistance for great gas mileage. Camper size: 8 feet long, 5 ½ feet wide, 4 feet high. • Changes from lounging for 4 to sleeping in less than a minute by folding “couch” back up to create an upper and lower bunk bed for anyone 5 feet or less (actual bed length is about 5’3”) and positioning 2 pads on the floor. • Indoor toilet (Port-a-potty) • Sink area with powered running water and 3.0 gallon water tank • Interior folding table • Crank open roof vent with exhaust fan • Tongue box houses battery and charger with room for misc camping gear. • Dual locks on door (from inside and out) • 2 high quality crank out windows • Fully insulated including floor • Removable outdoor side table • Allows totally self contained camping!

BUILT ON A 1200 POUND CAPACITY UTILITY TRAILER • 12 “ wheels • Tail lights • Side marker lights • Full size spare tire (new) • Tows with 1 7/8” ball • Dual 1000 pound capacity trailer jacks • Lifetime license (MN)!

ELECTRICAL • 12 volt 75 Amp/Hour deep cycle battery • Built in 12 volt trickle charger (1.4 Amps) • 12 volt lighting system (2 ceiling lights, 1 light over sink area, 2 aircraft reading lights above each bunk bed, 1 outdoor “porch” light) • 12 volt sockets inside to run various appliances (boom box, window fan, computer, etc.) • 12 volt powered roof vent • water pump (6 volt w/4 D batteries or 12 volt with included converter) • Fuse box • Digital battery condition meter • Weather–tight AC input on side that feeds 1 hidden duplex outlet!

INCLUDES • Portable electric heater (110 volt) • Wheel chocks • Combination entrance stool/storage box • Collapsible tire iron • Entrance mat • 12 volt window fan!

Well the "Pigeon Coupe" as I enjoyed calling it is now in the hands of new owners, a very nice couple from near by my area. Since I had to edit my post with "SOLD" as requested by Madjack I thought I might as well throw in the last post regarding my camper. I hope it gets camping a lot as it never really did with me and I will start the dreaming process all over again to one day build an even better one as many of you have along the way.

As a side note, just about he time the bills from the sale were hitting my hand, the need for a new washing machine (and dryer, why not) hit. What (poor) timing. So much for paying off some of the medical bills. However it IS only money so no worries.

I will check in periodically to see what's up, what's new and who is still hangin'.
