This thing is a gorgeous rolling house! It's beautiful!

Any idea how much it weighs?

Hi Sharon,

Well the tongue is a lot heavier after adding the porch today, but I think the total weight is a little over 1000# so far. It is lighter than it looks.

Oh it just occurred to me, what is the counter height? looks like it is tall.

Boy! You sure have a calibrated eyeball. The counter top is a little tall. 3/16" taller than my kitchen counter in the house. The trailer counter top is 35 3/4". Maybe I should take a picture with me standing inside to give perspective.

Steve,

I'm planning on building an optimized winter warrior someday, probably my most ambitious build yet. And your Gypsy Caravan is a great inspiration! ;)

It's still totally cool, Steve. I'm going to have to build me one...one day.

I was thinking..The porch? Does it lift up? Hing on the back edge? So you have more clearance when you are pulling it and making turns?

Thanks Mike, that really means a lot to me. I would love to build another gypsy caravan myself. I have learned so much.

The porch is bolted on with 4 carriage bolts and doesn't move. I have about a 70 degree angle to the tow vehicle before any contact, way past my usual trailer backing angle. But just to be safe, I'll be getting out to look at it at first, just to check.

Thanks again Miriam

What is the height of your kitchen counter top?
