Hello from Scandinavia. Here the winters are long and dark as well as cold.
Ive totally built my tear outside. With a heavy duty porta garage to store it in.

When I build I pull it out and set things up and when done back in she goes.

Now as for glues and such. I have them in the house to keep them from freezing up and going bad.

I had all pieces pre cut. Then kept going. As we progressed into summer its the best and niceest time as it is anywhere,s.

Long summer days of 24 hrs. But summers are mighty short.

Still plugging along here. With no fancy garage or heat.

It can be done but the weather controls building. Under the Arctic Skies is where my tear was born.

Thanks everyone esp. Clasic Finn for your input, Its good to know others are facing the same if not bigger chalenges with extream temps.

A couple of years ago I built a pole barn, ran out of money before the floor went in, $> but it keeps the wind, rain and snow off of me. :)

I started my build by first building a 8x12 platform to work on so my materials would'nt be in the sand. The problem I'm having now other than the bitter cold is moisture. :x After framing in the walls and skinning the inside I stood up the walls for pic's, :pictures: after a few day's with them standing I noticed the walls were warping. I've layed them down and covered them with a tarp. I'm thinking of testing my 22yrs of marriage and bring the walls into the house.

Warmer days,

For now I will stare at the glow of my pellet burner and pretend it is a campfire.

Where are we going and why am I in this hand basket?

Wow Tony nice place to build, I can only dream about such but I wanted a teardrop more than anything so I set out with my adventure. And I got it looking like a tear regardless. I use 2 - 500 watt lamps outside to build in the dark. Neighbors looks make me laugh. And they also laughed but not anymore. Now they come and ahhh and ohhh as I progress. Im the neighborhood nut.  Moisture was the problem. But I also sealed everything asap with Marine Varnish. And get everything put together as fast as possible. I also have fiberglass on the exterior so this helps also. Meaning ceiling. Now its under vinyl.
