Use Linux instead of Windows, and you'll never have to worry about the following again:

Viruses
Infections
Spyware
Trojans
Adware

I'm still running some 10 year old DOS programs that won't run on a MAC, so that was never a consideration...

Went with superantispyware... got good reviews.

AVG user here too. Top notch software. The only anti-spyware tools I use are Firefox and common sense. If you use IE you are asking for infections...
