roswell build

Postby dandan » Tue May 19, 2009 7:37 am

Hope you are all well.
:)
managed to grab a couple of hours on the drawing board at home.
printed the detail of the fenders in poster form (9 x A4 sheets) & stuck
them together.
then placed it on the drawing board & exploded the view on to the paper
below to give me a 1:1 scale of the drawing.
(this is an easier way than attempting to re-create those ellipses
without the construction lines (if a drawing board is available.))

can you spot where my hair is going a bit wayward ???
the outer panels are slightly curved but im not bothering to develop them.
could do it but time is not on my side.
reckon it will only make 1/2 inch difference in the length of it & that wont be noticeable.
i mean, who's going to run a tape along it eh ?
best rgds dan.

dandan, it looks like measuring that with one person would be pretty hard anyway with all those curves lol. Really liking the all metal frame & exterior, you're a true tin artist :D

I suspect that Dan is actually right handed. When he took the photo, his body was likely in the way of the shot, forcing him to post the mirror image for our viewing pleasure.

Being a lefty keeps me in my right mind.

We are all born right handed, just some of us get over it.

Good luck with the new child. I bet you will be proud parents.

Lookin' good on the latter, by the bye.
