Postby The Teardrop Nanny » Mon Aug 10, 2009 10:25 am

8) I know...and I even had Dean come and try to copy it when the database error dohickey showed up on the screen. Then, something totally different appeared, cuz he wasn't wearing his glasses the first time, and I was  what happened here? Anyhow, the pics should be up soon, and thanks KK for the ones you posted.

Jonie, a teardrop gathering isn't really the same without you and Dean. Not to say that the gatherings aren' alot of fun, but you two put just that much more into the weekends.
I really enjoyed myself and Ebony was at home there also. She is always at home at gatherings and sometimes makes new friends, and sometimes doesen't get along with others, but she made it through this time.
Thanks again to Guy and his great effort in putting on this event. No rain, thank heavens and I believe all were happy for that.
Great gathering :applause:
Bruce :)

A really big thanks to Guy"or that guy named Guy as my granddaughters called him." Got to meet old friends and new ones and as usual got to much to eat. Fantastic prime rib Guy and Dean. The moon rise was spectacular. The family and I had a great time. Thanks again Guy for a great gathering. Jerry

I think everyone's center of gravity changed just a bit... Since Doug wasn't there, I got more than my fair share of Kevin's cookies. :R
I liked Guy's grilled peaches so much, I'm gonna try grilling some at a DOG this weekend in my grilled dutch oven.
Hope to do this one again next year, especially if the boat captain brings his pontoon plane!!! :o

OK, now I see the thread.
What a nice gathering that was. Kudos to Guy and many thanks to the staff at Hart-Tish, Applegate Lake. I came Saturday afternoon and was afraid on first look that it was full. But they let me, and then later Marty, into the tent only parking spots. And then it was full. Good to see everyone. When is the next one? Mark

THAT was the best gathering EVER!

Guy's great August Moon Gathering was a fabulous success.

It was a pleasure to meet John Christensen, his wife and new baby and see Ron and Olga as elated grandparents. Wonderful.

Thanks again so much for the lessons in Dutch Oven cooking Joannie, Dean and Kevin. Pleasure to meet you finally Dean and Joannie. You guys are awesome and fun to be with.

And thanks for the ingredients of the Dutch Oven dessert Kay! (But I was especially taken with that first dish you brought :EXP )

Glad to see you up and moving more easily Grant! And thanks for the aluminum trim delivery. We hope to have it on Guy's teardrop by week's end after the epoxy, fiberglass and paint.

It's hot (epoxy-hardening weather) out at the lake again now. We couldn't have asked for better temperatures!

Dean, you right about the paddles and I should have remembered that. Accually, they weren't even oars, because you don't oar a boat, you row a boat, just like "row, row, row your boat" the song, so they should be called rows instead of oars. But paddles are the right word to use.
Good seeing everybody and next time will have the right length PADDLES.
I f I can manage it, I am going to put the camper on the diesel and try to make it to Nevada In Sept.
