I think I have the "Bug"!!

I have been looking at Teardrops for a while and have decided to build me one of them things . I will be hitting the fleamarket and craft fair circuit next year and a TTT is a must have . I figure one will be perfect to pull behind my anemic old Ranger as I embark on my new journey . Now all I have to do is build the dratted thing !!! Still haven't made my mind up as to what style . :thinking:

Greybear13, I have been waiting with baited breath for you to finally log onto this board and introduce yourself. Well, not really, but I just wanted to make you feel accepted into the teardrop and tiny travel trailer crowd. Good to have you aboard. Now, be aware that building a tiny travel trailer is a much more involved job than slapping together a simple little teardrop trailer. Hey, we're talking about weeks, in lieu of months, or perhaps years, to build one of the "big-uns".

Now, first item on the adgenda is getting that trailer frame, and I suggest a pre-built, bolt together item that will be more than adequate for your purpose, especially if you are in a hurry and not concerned about hauling around half of the stuff in your present house. However, if you do plan on a super-heavy, unusually large teardrop, a custom-made trailer frame is probably worth considering.

So, those of us here on the board are waiting with baited breath, looking forward to seeing your construction pics and answering any questions that might be asked by you, a green-horn trailer builder..........Hey, we were all in that place, some time ago.

Bottom line, get that trailer frame, design the perfect shape and size your your needs, build it to suit your own style and by all means, post pics of your progress and ask any questions that might cross your mind, we are here to help. Good luck on your proposed build, keep in touch.

Thanks much for the welcome ! I haven't picked up a trailer yet but will be doing so within the coming month . I think I will go with a sort of grasshopper design as it looks to be more in line with what I want. :thinking: Will keep you posted as to progress. :D
