TD Builder Package - SOLD!

Postby Outlaw » Tue Mar 23, 2010 7:32 am

Thinking of getting started on your TD project? Well here ya go folks! Since we already own a TD and I have waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many irons in the fire, I'm gonna let this one go.

Trailer: Manufacturer unknown (NO TITLE, you can get title by submitting to your state as homebuilt). 4' X 8' steel with wood deck, 12" tires (tires are excellent condition), torsion axle!
Fenders: Brand new, hard plastic, designed for 12" wheels
Sheet Metal: TWO sheets of 4' X 10" heavy aluminum. This is actually for metal roofs with aluminum finish on one side and simulated copper on the other (imagine the possibilities).

Check out photos at . . .

First $350 takes it all - UPDATE: PRICE REDUCED TO $250!! Price is not negotiable at this point, must be picked up. I'm located in South Central PA between Chambersburg, PA and Hagerstown, MD. I'd be happy to let this remain at my location for up to 2 weeks until you can arrange for pick up (must be paid in full in advance for this option). I have a very busy schedule and will be checking in as often as possible to answer questions. Thanks very much!

I was thinking of buying a used unit. What are your thoughts on someone building one who has little to no known skill?

Check out the "Generic Benroy Plans" link at the top of the page. It's free plans based on a 4 X 8 trailer. You'll also find "Rich's List" in the same location which contains a list of parts suppliers to help you with your build. It's something that you'll want to seriously consider before undertaking such a project. HOWEVER, you've found a great forum with hundreds of folks that are eager to answer your questions and you'll find the encouragement to be endless. Welcome to the site!

I really wish you were an hour away. I would find another job to cover the $250, just to get started.

 I did it and so can most people. Just takes some reading, asking and asking and reading and did I say asking.

I would jump on it in a heartbeat except I want a 5x8 and can't tow it away with no tags.
