Materials for cookbook covers...

Postby caseydog » Thu Jul 22, 2010 5:31 pm

I am working on covers for both of the cookbooks (and maybe an extra for the future #3???), and being a professional designer, I was first looking at using pro photographs in the design, but now I am thinking that I'd rather use photos taken by our forum members. I think that would be more fun for me to work with, and for everyone else to look at.

I'm leaning towards making a cool photo montage in Photoshop. I'll need lots of photos to choose from in order to have just what I need for a good composition.

I need shots of meals, and shots of people cooking them at camp. Dutch oven cooking, grilling, camp-stove cooking -- the more the better.

What doesn't get used in the cover art, I can pass on the the inside pages people to scatter about, if they want to use them.

Send me your largest resolution shots -- bigger than what you can post on the forum, Therefore, send them to my business email, [email protected]. I can receive up to 10 MB per email.

This picture looks awsome to me...

I suspect we are just around the corner from a new cookbook, right? 3 weeks or so?
