Hello from Taft Ca.

Postby whitefam5 » Sat Jul 24, 2010 6:46 pm

Hello everyone in the TD world :D My wife and I are new to the TD world and are looking forward to the great times in our TD that we found sitting in the street getting ready to be cut up to be made a utility trailer. i ended up stopping and talking to the lady and buying the TD for $60, before her husband could cut it up. so a long stroy short, we were geocaching in Pine mountian Ca and seen a couple with a TD. Talked to them for awhile and we made our minds up that a TD would be perfect for us. Three days later is when we came arcross our TD. i am not sure what year it is or who built it but we love it. Will post pics of it soon. We have alot of work to the inside and some body work on the outside but nothing to major. the measurement of our TD are 50 inchs wide and 135 inchs long with the talest part being 50 inchs tall, with the whole TD being sheeted in aluminum and the inside frame being welded together 3/4 angle iron, then looks to be all coated with tar to water proof but not sure. the windows are gone which are ok cause i already have two newer stlye that will give us a bigger view outside. we are looking forward to talking to other TD like minded people...Brad and Jennifer White

Welcome, Brad and Jennifer! Even if the TD leaks, the chassis is probably worth at least $60; so, I'd say you did pretty darn good.

Looking forward to the pictures!

It's easy. Just bring up your picture in your album, copy the URL, then paste the URL into your post, highlight the URL in your post, and click on the Img button above.

Or, just type after the URL

Brad and Jennifer,

Welcome to the fun. Looking at the pic's in your album, looks like you will need to rebuilt the inside. But with the body dome, half the tasks are done.

Want to see pictures once you start the rebuilt..................
