A customer brought this '47 Kit by to be rebuilt with new aluminum and misc. Has Sportsman model galley, original wheels, and water tank. Interesting...the original fiberglass fenders are gone, and steel replacements that have original fastener pattern are used, Nice, rounded edge on the outside - not some home built fenders. The factory did use a large metal fender similar to these on standard models, but not on Sportsman models. Very solid unit - very little water damage. And axle actually has spring in it. Propane stove and bottle are missing.

Teardown complete. Wood is in good to very good condition. Frame sound, galley aluminum to be replaced. New aluminum on exterior to be white, white sidewall tires, black powder coated frame and wheels, minimal cabinets with LCD tv in cabin, whitewall spare on tongue, '32 Ford taillights
If the aluminum is going to be replaced, and all the original wood is going to be covered up, then the only things left are the frame and the (ugly) fenders?
It seems like it would have been easier to start over...
