Switch to Camp Inn

Postby ebloomer » Sun Oct 17, 2010 7:48 pm

Last December my husband and I put a deposit on a Mega Mini teardrop with the understanding that we would pick up our trailer after my husband retired this summer. We set a date of October 13th, and after making all the necessary plans to travel to Indiana to pick up our Mega Mini we received an email from Eye4Design the day before we were supposed to leave New York. The company was closing its doors, our trailer wasn't built, and our deposit would be refunded. We weren't shocked-- we knew the company was in trouble-- but we were disappointed. So, instead of driving a Mega Mini home from Indiana this past week, my husband and I put a deposit on a Camp-Inn 560 Raindrop. We had considered the Raindrop before we discovered the Mega Mini, so we are back to our original choice. Next April we will travel to Wisconsin to pick up our new trailer. Our story DOES have a happy ending! :applause:

Good for you! It could have been a sad ending if you wouldn't have been told you would get your deposit back. Be sure and post some pictures when you bring your new baby home. :pictures:

It sounds like it wasn't a happy ending for the Mega Mini Company; but, at least the Mega Mini builder is trying to be responsible and gave you your money back. Congratulations on your future Camp Inn and your happy ending.

(I hope Shadow Catcher's Mega Mini build is not in jeopardy.)

Sharon, ours is the last one and it is nearly complete. I have been in contact with Bloomer's and trying to keep track with Eye4Design of what was happening and sharing it with them.
Most start up companies fail and unfortunately despite having a truly great product they have.
Nancy loves the Camp Inn's for cuteness and quality but really loves the space storage and features of the MM more than she wanted the cute. Bloomer's have my cell phone number and hopefully they will stop by on their way through next spring and I am sure we will encounter each other at some of the gatherings.

We really appreciate all your help in our dealings with Eye4Design. Hopefully, you will have your MM soon; we look forward to seeing it. We'll let you know when we plan our trip to Wisconsin so we can stop by.

Eileen,

I'm sure you will love your Raindrop. Camp-Inn makes a great product. If I were to ever buy a tear it would be a Camp-Inn. You have lots to look forward to next year! Good luck with everything!

I think we would have been happy with the Mega Mini, but we are definitely looking forward to the Camp-Inn.

We tent camped at Rollins Pond a few years ago so we drove right through Fish Creek-- what a nice place!

I trust you have your CampInn? We picked up our Mega Mini today, long story that I will relate tomorrow. It is very different than MM #1 and Nancy is happy. I now need to complete things that were not quite finished. I was a day away from legal action, but now we have it.

Congratulations to you and Nancy on your new MM! Finally! We picked up our Camp Inn on April 14th in Wisconsin then drove back to New York in the wind and rain, stopping at campgrounds in Ohio and Pennsylvania. We just camped for two nights at a nearby county park-- the weather was beautiful, and we were able to really set up our campsite and enjoy the outdoors. We're "practicing" for our major camping trip; we are taking our Raindrop to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks next month. The Raindrop is terrific-- very comfortable and relatively easy to tow ( this is our first towing experience), but it is a bit tricky to back up. Everyone says it takes practice!

We look forward to hearing your story and to some pictures of the new MM. I will attempt to post some pictures of our Raindrop. Again, congratulations!
