Window question

Postby Aint2Proud » Tue Feb 22, 2011 8:03 pm

I found some used windows but they do not come with trim rings. How do I go about installing them or could I get the correct trim rings for them? Thanks.

I use radiused corner sliders and dump the trim rings in favor of drilling mounting holes in the flange and screwing them directly to the door, using some sort of caulking or putty tape to seal them...................

I'm with Jack on this.

Since "Most" radius corner windows are custom or limited run.

Being able to find the correct trim rings for those windows is highly unlikely.

There is no "Standard sizes" anymore. Even a lot of the big manufactures of RV's change window sizes annually.

I got all my windows from Custom RV Windows, an on-line store in CA that can be found on Ebay.

I'm very pleased with the three exit windows, the fixed skylight, and the wide fixed front window. Also, the service and advice from these folks is excellent.

You could try the following link to an ebay site and see if they have trim rings. http://stores.ebay.com/Bottom-Dollar-Surplus-Inc :)
