We bought a $50 Coleman beach shelter from Amazon. It kind of fits to the side of the tear, and can be staked down or weighted with sand, but we ended up not using it after the first season. It's okay if the weather is dry but if it rains it tends to fill up with water. Plus you can't really stand up in it or store anything in it. And there is a gap between the shelter and the door, so you tend to get wet when you get out anyway if it's raining. We mainly wanted it b/c if you open the door, there you are! A bit of privacy when you open the door.
Tried to find a picture but it looks like they've updated their design--couldn't find one like ours.
We have decided that, when possible, it's just as easy to roll the teardrop back under the 10 by 10 shelter. There's enough room on either side to get out, it's private, and you can change clothes standing up. Probably looks wierd to passersby that our tear kind of disappears during the night, though!
