Miriam: How very Blessed we are

General Discussion about almost anything Teardrop or camping related

Glad to hear everyone is ok. From the count I am hearing not everyone was as lucky. All the stuff you can live without or It can all be replaced. Like someone else said, take one hour, one day at a time. Every day is new, and you are not alone, It will take time but you will get thru this. Bill

I think you should start building trailers--using yours as an example of their sturdiness. :D

Good to hear you are OK, and hope you can rebuild your houses.

I've been thinking about you every day and wondering how things are going. I imagine everyone is pretty much just stunned. Glad you're unscathed physically and that your teardrop isn't totaled!

I'm looking around for the "like" button here, wanting to register my agreement with the above postings, Aunti M. Your teardrop will get right again soon, just like your life, I hope.

I think times like these at least from my own perspective people really want the news of their people, they don't want the drama, the wreckage, they want to know the people they love are OK. I am personally so glad to see your post Miriam. I had another friend in OK, that I have not gotten any response from in two days and just got a reply today that they are OK as well.

OK... that is a term that is not a relative term anymore in this type of situation, and I am really grateful that you and yours are "ok"

Hi Miriam, aka Auntie M,

I, as the other forum members are, am greatly pleased to hear
that you, your husband Mike, and the other members of your
family are here, and safe, and as sound as the circumstances allow.

I've gotten the impression, from reading your posts over time, that
you and your family are resourceful and practical and possess a
"can do" attitude or outlook. Those qualities will help you deal well
with the situation mother nature thrust upon Joplin and you.

Your TD now has the most impossible to top campfire story attached
to it! If you want to, or are able to repair it, after all the higher priorities
of returning your lives back to normal are taken care of, it will inspire
everyone who hears the tale by the embers glow and who look upon the
TD that unbelievably - but it's true - survived the the most powerful
onslaught we can imagine.

My condolences on your losses, and thoughts and prayers for your
new start's successes.

I echo everyone's comments.

As I understand your immediate need, you must have a car. I just sold an '01 Honda Civic. Crum. I'm car-less, too, until I purchase one.

Anyone on here have any ideas/ways to get her a car?
