excuse thread

I have not been working on my trailer nearly as much as I was before. My progress has ground down to a snails pace. I am using the excuse that it is "Too hot out now".

Have you hit the wall like me? What is your excuse?

Heat and health. The 2 Hs that are impeding my progress.

OH and money. I am lacking the funds to buy the big ticket items and they are holding me up. This is kind of playing into my enthusiasm on the project which is a necessary ingrediant.

Heat, and traveling have slowed me down.

I'm out there playing today, but it's still hot and humid.

But we need to know what a foamie looks like!

lack of money is a escuse for laying of a teardrop build. I can testfy to building a teardrop with no job and no unemployment money.

its no real escuse for I can't afford it. theres other ways than brand spanking new to get them big ticket items.

my escuse on not finshing the inside wall on my teardrop is bordism.

pure and simple. and no what?

I am acutally working on finshing it after camping in my teardrop for 3 years.

slow. I acutlay belive now that modest builds have bettor chances to compleation than lavish ones.
I have found a salvage yard for laminate 8 dollars for a short sheet. Used appliances very cheap on Craig's list.

But a mini hot water heater and a decent AC unit are not easy to come by used. These will need to be bought new. I am shocked simply by the cost of electrical wire these day!

Yes here in North Carolina it has been in the upper 90s almost everyday. The garage is even hotter with no air movement. I feel like an astronaut on a space walk, working on the space station. I can only work for 40 minutes at a time. I am in a catch 22 if I had the cash I would buy and install an AC unit and thus make it easier to work inside the trailer, but I need that cash to buy the other items that are required to do the work. But I am talking to a guy that gets quarterly dividend checks and leaves them laying around for the cat to eat so you cannot relate.

my excuse is that either I can't find one of the three tape measures in the garage or my pencil, after looking for about 2 hours I give up for the night. Or I will go to the back of the garage to get something and when I get back there I forget what it was i went to get, so I go to the front of the garage and remember what I went to get...
Actually been working at least a couple hours a day on #2. Hoping to have it done enough to take to a car show a week after Labor Day,
If I could shut my brain off, I could save myself alot of time, money and effort.

I know the feeling about going into a room to get something, getting there and forgetting what it was.
Just waiting for that to happen when I go into the bathroom.
Getting older is proving to be even stranger than I thought it would be.
I'm still waiting for the acid flash backs they warned everyone about. ;)

It took me 18months because I'd work on it and be all Gung-Ho. After a month or 2, I'd get sick of it and take a month or 2 off. What finally got me finished was the deadline to have it finished by certain gatherings.
