well I have been out for a morning run.. and did some tire flips.

I have stuff to do here, but expect most of the day will be spend helping the neighbor build a bridge..


That Kreg jig is really great. Wished it was arounf when my Dad would make me make frames with tendon & mortise. This is simply and fast - just make sure you got nice square cuts - drill - a little glue - butt and screw - your done and it is strong.............

good morning.. rise and shine... great the new day...

We are cold and dark... :o

getting ready to head to the Mountain.. One of the mountains.. where it will be colder and darker... well colder anyways.. :roll: :roll:

gonna do some more downhill mountain biking... :wakka wakka: :wakka wakka:

I am also a little nervous.. :o :frightened: :frightened:

I have SOME of the skills and knowledge.. this is a whole new ball game for me..

but yeah I did ok last time.. my bike and I are set up a little better.. so perhaps I am expecting to ride a little more aggressively...

We had a blast.. and we survived.. :D

I crashed 3 times. the first quite spectacular but mostly pain free..

the second.. slower speed.. but still hard.. I was pushing the envelope [my envelope] trying to ride down a steep rock face.. I made the face but the necessary rocky turn at the bottom kind of got me..

The third.. I have no idea what happened... it was a faster section.. with big table top jumps.. I have no memory of what happened.. all I remember.. is seeing the ground from about 12" away and coming fast.. I hit face first into the ground.. thankfully with a strong full face helmet..

I have bruises and abrasions on my forehead.. and a rather sore neck.

I also broke off a shift lever and bent a break lever.. :o

GOOD MORNING. It is still dark outside and the temp is dropping. If we get into the 70s we will be lucky - and of course rain later in the day.

Weekend was alot of fun. Went to my friends BrewPub in Northen Va - got to taste some of his tasty brews and sampled some of the nice bbq. After that we all loaded up into the car and went to the "HONEY PIG" in Arlington - a Korean BBQ place. What a meal and all kinds of KIMCHI and nice meats.

Well enjoy your day.

Still hot and humid here with temps still in the the low 90s (no snow here!)
and the humidity will be high again.

We have a couple of good Korean places here and love to go when I can.
(I spent almost three years in Korea...love the people and the food.)
