I found it on Kijiji and thought it was kind of unique.

Thanks for any input you may have.

Friends of my Parents had something similar when I was a kid in the mid 60's. Obviously no tip outs but as I recall it had a similar layout to most 10-12' hard side trailers of the era. i.e. Scotty's, Fleetwing's, Metzendorf's.

Great for 2, maybe 3 and very complete. It had a large dinette at one end which went down into a big "Grown-up" bed (that was usually down all the time) and another small maybe 36" dinette at the other end that they left up as a dinette.

Had a small counter w/sink & stove and some under counter storage.

I think Apache & Palomino made one similar with fold up hard sides as well.

A-Liners are probably close to that floor plan now....

Happy Trails

Thanks Len for the info. You described the interior quite well.

I have been waffling about building a teardrop for a while (I really do like the whole concept). The owner of this little trailer was asking $450, but was very tired of tire kickers and offered it to me for $300 with all their camping supplies.

So I purchased it with the thought that if it doesn't pan out for me, I'll have the ground work for a tear.

It has an ice box, two burner gas stove and a sink. As well as ac/dc wiring and lights, much of which could be re-used in a teardrop (so goes my justification for the purchse).

Thanks again for your input.

Hi gibby,

I think you're new-to-you camper is a '70s Skamper. They were quite
popular then, both with pull out beds or not - as your's is. If it's in good
shape, spiff it up and go camping with your good find.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

Thanks for all the input. I have yet to pick it up (Friday) and whatever labels may have been on it are long gone. There are just a few pop rivets left where brand markers once were.

Once at home I'll attach more pics and include the interior.
