Becky, don't remember if that vintage Boler had 'tor-flex' type axle or springs. My '84 Scamp (successor to the Bolers) had a tor-flex axle that had definitely seen better days (the original 22.5* down angle leading arm had gone to aprox 10* up). From the pix you posted it appears that if yours has the same type axle it may also be suffering 'deflation'. I recently replaced the original with a new 2K Dexter torflex with electric brakes.
Since the Scamp people originally 'made' some of the fiberglass body halves for Boler they continued the same design after Boler's demise. Many of the parts/accessories for the Scamp will probably fit your Boler & are readily available.
One tip for ordering from Scamp, do it by phone instead of online. You'll save some $$ on shipping that way & may get a break on pricing too.
I'm just starting interior 'rehab' on our Scamp & it's gonna be a job but fortunately I don't think I'll hafta take it all the way down to the frame. A P.O. replaced the dinette floor & everything else looks solid. New tail/brake/signal, & running lights along with all new wiring is the plan plus a new door handle/lock & new hinge pins, already purchased from Scamp.
Congrats on a great find at an excellent price. Looking forward to watching your 're-build'...
