You know it will be a good gathering if you pull in and see Mike's tents.

Hello Mike
Do you have snaps on your cabana tent to keep it next to your TD?
I' looking to make one of those for myself and the pattern calls for snaps and I was wondering if I could for go the snaps.

Yes i do have chrome snaps to hold the tent next to the trailer, if i was to do it again i would you boat snaps, they lock into place instead of snaping into place. the problem i see with not using any kind of snaps is the wind and rain will make a mess of the side tent :rainy: . at least that is my experience

I use texsport suv tent and added hooks underneath my microcamper and use bungie cords over the top and underneath to pull the hatch opening up over the door and tight and works fabulously. The suv tent is not a mesh ceiling so can leave the door open and cool the tent as well.

The REI store had a 'broken and return' sale last summer. I picked up one of the large Kelty side tents for $25. One of the webbing tensioning loops had broken the stitching. Simple fix and I ran a few passes of stitching over the rest of the loops at the same time!
