Yesterday morning was the start of the teardown of our first teardrop. The Bungalette served us very well, and introduced me to building these little trailers we all love so much. I learned a lot building The Bungalette, and it allowed me to make improvements on number 2; The Blue Yonder.
I started by stripping down hardware and a couple little parts of The Bungalette I plan to keep.
Then came time to breakout my Dewalt Reciprocating saw
Five years of using The Bugalette took its toll, in part because of my lower cost material section (heck wasn't sure I was going to like these tiny trailers!) But over those years, The Bungalette never let us down on the road, kept us warm and dry at night, and always garnered attention at stops.
In a small way, The Bungalette will live on in a future trailer, you see, she was an organ donor and much of the hardware will be reused.
Since I shared many photos and comments throughout the build of The Bungalette, I thought I'd share the teardown.
Although The Bungalette is gone, we will remember all the good times we had.
