Hanging out in Quartzsite, AZ.

Postby goramsey » Wed Dec 21, 2011 5:43 pm

I just got into Quartzsite, AZ yesterday afternoon. Think I will stay a bit. Beautiful weather. Though one would never know it is the Christmas season here. Follow more of my latest travels here: http://www.ramseystravels.com/blog/

Hi Gary,

14 days is just about right if you like your privacy.

Next month (21st -29th) is the annual RV. show.
Just under a million people, all looking for a spot like yours... ;)
Other shows start sooner...

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...

I envy you! I love AZ in the winter, can't say the same for the summertime, unless you have AC!

We have a friend that live in Quartzite. Her husband is buried there. gotta get out there sometime and see her and pay respects to Fred. We spent the winter of '85 with them gold mining north of Wickenburg.

We have friends that will be leaving for there in January. Nice to be away from the cold here and they can afford it.

If you get a chance make a run up to Oatman . . . an old west town that still lives. Not too far from Quartzite.

Gary,

I love your pictures and descriptions of the people and the great parts of each place!! I know it's extra work for you to post stuff, but I absolutely love it.

I went to Zion and that area in 1986 (in June... it was hot!). I certainly want to go back.

Thanks again!

Hugs,

I won't be making it to Lake Mead for this New Years. I did not realize that I have camped there for 30 days this year. Oh well. Quartzsite is pretty cool to hang out for awhile.
