The woodburning turned out very nice and adds that personal touch. I'm enjoying all the pics, thanks for sharing them.

I've not seen a nicer first build, ever. The headstock is especially nice. Thanks for the videos, it not only looks good but also sounds good.![]()
At some point you will probably want to create some fret markers on the fingerboard. Again, the options are numerous. A shallow cut that's filled in with dye works good, so does woodburning. There are online charts (and mathematical formulas) to use in order to determine fret location. If slight adjustments in your scale length (nut to bridge distance) are required... adjust by moving the bridge towards the nut.
Proper tuning will also be key. There are "tuning websites" and YouTube videos available for that, you listen to the tone and match it. If that doesn't work, the next step would be the purchase of an electronic tuning device.
As far as learning to play goes, if you can't talk Clapton into coming over, hanging out and showing you a few guitar licks.. look on YouTube for free CBG lessons. Kenny Lee Burgess has some good starter videos.
I've really enjoyed watching your build progress, Grizz! Thanks for sharing the story and all the pics. Good luck with your playing and I hope you get many years of entertainment.
