Uh, oh....looks like I need to check into this further....I was thinking it will conflict with another even, but this sounds more fun.

And by then I'll have a couple lanterns working. Kirk's got to go, so he will bring a bunch...

Slow..will you be out here for this??

DF, this the BIG one for us left coasters. You have to try to make it. It will be another 2 years before it comes around again. I know, the summer gets busy and sometimes other commitments prevail. I hope it works out, the light up alone should be worth it.

Hmm... 200+ is the record? 100 RSVP's for IRG, that's two gas lanterns each, and there's plenty of time before the event, which means its very possible to break the record! I say let's go for it!

Don't have a gas lantern? Borrow a couple from friends! ha ha!

I will try to make it. No promises. If I can come I can bring about 15 lanterns. Maybe more by then.

MAYBE more by then??? Come on Kirk...you will have tons more by then!!

I've got to check on if I can get time off...at least for some of the days.

I should have at least 2. Hopefully more by then. If I can go, I'll bring every white gas lantern I have that works.

Gotta go check the IRG dates..I wrote Thurs-Sun, but I think it started before that....I can probably get Thurs off and make it from then on.

I CAN'T miss this. Even if I get there Friday, I CAN'T miss it!!!

I'm in. I won't bring all of them. It would take too much effort and space.

I think we should go for the record!

OK, for a matter of clarification - the "record" stands at 57 for a TD& TTT event done at LCG. I know that there are Coleman chapters where a few teardroppers show up and claim to have over "100+" lanterns at a teardrop Gathering. If that is the case, then we'll shatter that record in March when the Texas Coleman collectors gather and two teardrops show up along with two hundred Coleman lanterns. So to Keep it in line with the spirit of Competition the baseline is set at 57

I feel kind of bad I only own one and other than it's green with two mantels I don't know it's number.
bought when tent camping in 1966 it and a green two burner stove both were used often over the years.
but Ohio is to far from california just to light a lantern, so I'll have to settle for reading about a sucessfull "light" here.

I will be at the Dam Gathering for sure. So I will be planning to bring as many as I can manage.
