the real solution is natural gas. slowly introduce hydrogen and lots of nuclear. now we could put those wave engines in teh hubs of out trailers and help push.

A more efficient gasoline engine is great.

A non-gasoline engine would be a lot better.

Electricity. Let's get cars running on a delivery system instead of a fuel. Then we can make changes to how we produce the electricity (nuclear to geothermal to ??) without having to revamp every car on the road.

There are a few mixed in here

http://www.rexresearch.com/auto/carbusp.htm

Smokey Yunic 's vapor carb was bought out by big oil.

Pogue and others were bought out as well

Some simply gave up due to threats to their health and the health of their families.

Others simply disappeared or died of mysterious causes like Tom Ogle and Stan Myers. So if you want to get really pissed off just google a few of those names.

Rex Research is a great web site to give you info and insight into just what was kept from the masses thanks to greed and special interest groups.

I remain unconvinced.

In addition to the laws of physics, this is the reason that I don't believe any of the super MPG devices ever existed or worked. Many large, but less affluent, nations disregard US patent law. If these things existed or worked they would produce them to reduce their energy costs regardless of any patent ownership.

Sometimes I wonder if the government could have some top secret energy technologies. It would be nice to have a plan B when we reach peak oil.

my old ford ranger had great gas milage.

this shortage of oil is only in the minds of ceraten crooks that are in charge of the goverment.

Hey Slow

The united states peaked in oil production in the early
70ties. We are still producing oil, but it's not enough to meet our demand. The only abundance of oil we have now is the unconventional kind. Thats the kind thats real expensive to produce.

I'm with Slow. You are talking production, he is talking supply. The only thing that is stopping us from increasing production is the EPA. No possible way to build new refineries and meet their emissions requirements.

vapor carb

Postby doitright » Wed Jan 25, 2012 9:56 pm

Here in West tn. we had a man that invented a vapor carb the got 100 miles per gal. back in the mid 60`s. The oil co came and bought it his shop and all his papers. When they got done with the shop it did not even have a floor in it. The took everything. Funny thing as other carbs they just vanished.
The way he came up with it he was in Memphis and broke. He had a gal. jug in the back of the truck and some hose. He had enough money for a 1/2 gal. put it in the jug and drove home with it by shacking the jug causing the gas to turn to vapor. He also made some mods to the air intake.

I can't argue with that.

Considering our government cant manage to keep nuclear technology a secret, even at gunpoint, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that they don't have unreleased oil tech, either.

And ditto on the foreign country comment. Do y'all really believe that any technology has been buried for over fifty years?

Pandora's box says no.

Yep...no Gee Whiz technology for this kid! I'm sticking with the tried and true fuel line magnets. They align the gas molecules for better combustion and gas mileage!!!
